Congregation had to relocate Memorial...thanks to me
by Shepherd Book inso, the two local congregations were planning to hold their memorial together at 7:30 at the local community center, but they had to make a last-minute change to their own hall, and i'm pretty sure it was because of me.. let me explain.... at work on monday afternoon, a co-worker returned from her lunchbreak and showed me the memorial invitation that was waiitng in her door when she went home for lunch.
i noticed the sticker on the back indicated the memorial was being held, not at the local hall, but at the community center.
from a past (non-jw) event i attended there, i knew they didn't allow alcohol (unless you pay for security guards), so i wrote to the center's coordinator:.

So, had she said "Jehovah, Jehovah" sooner than she did, the armed neighbor would have shot the dog sooner? .... sadly delusional....

I'm guessing it was David Splane... This just sounds like the kind of strange BS that he sometimes pulls out of his ass just before saying "we love this idea".

Flipping out at the meeting
by BU2B inunfortunatley, i still go to many meetings as i am working on getting my wife to wake up.
for the most part i maintain my composure but there have been two or three times when i actually have gotten so upset and the frustration built so high that i have come very come close to actually slamming something down or pounding the table in the literature room, or shouting out how i felt!
has anyone else felt this way?

I got up in the middle of a Sunday Talk when the elder giving the talk mentioned that satellites in orbit are a part of the signs in the heavens... that was my last meeting.

Watchtower potentially receives at least $2.1 Billion a year in revenue by prohibiting holidays, etc...
by Calebs Airplane inso we all know that the main reason the watchtower corporation prohibits holidays, extra-curricular sports, higher education, etc.
is that this money could potentially become "voluntary donations" with just a little guilting and manipulation.
in the minds of the brooklyn brass, money that isn't spent on all this worldly stuff is potential liquid revenue (at least some of it anyway).. now let's go extremely conservative for a minute and say that the average "worldly" person only spends a total of $300 a year on christmas, birthdays, st. valentines, father's day, mother's day, extracurricular school sports, higher education, and all the other stuff that the wt frowns upon.... we all know that the real number is much higher than $300.

So we all know that the main reason the Watchtower Corporation prohibits holidays, extra-curricular sports, higher education, etc. is that this money could potentially become "voluntary donations" with just a little guilting and manipulation. We all know that the real number is much higher than $300. But assuming that's the number, if you multiply that by 7 Million Dubs, that's a total of $2.1 Billion dollars a year in potential revenue for the WT.
With contributions dwindling and rag revenues declining rapidly, I'm sure the old farts in Brooklyn are hard at work right now searching for something else to prohibit... I'm guessing wedding anniversary parties will be next on their "prohibited spending" list. Just a few proof texts taken out of context should do the trick... cha-ching!

FOUR FREEMASONS receive honorable mention in today's WT Study...
by Calebs Airplane inthat's right... 4 freemasons are quoted with honorable mention in today's wt rag study... anyways, these are:.
paragraph 1: john greenleaf whittier (1807-1892) - freemason and quaker poet who wrote "masonic voice review".
there is even a freemason affiliated lodge in massachusetts named after him... the john greenleaf whittier order of demolay which is part of the "freemasons of the eastern star"... paragraph 4: albert barnes (1798-1870) - freemason and presbyterian who was directly involved in the gnostic liberation front which, among other false teachings, attempted to dissuade their members into believing that lucifer is not satan.
